TENDER NOTICE N° 26/T/2008-I/ISAR/NTB


TITLE: EXECUTION WORKS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A GENE BANK AT
ISAR/RUBONA

SOURCE OF FUND: RWANDA SEED COMMODITY CHAIN SUPPORT PROJECT
(AFSR).

CLIENT: INSTITUT DES SCIENCE AGRONOMIQUES DU RWANDA (ISAR).

The National Tender Board "NTB" hereby invites international tenders for the execution works for the construction of a gene bank at ISAR/RUBONA.

Participation to the competition is open on equal conditions to all companies or enterprises specialized in the field with a valid trading license.

Tender Document may be obtained from the National Tender Board on 25th February 2008 upon presentation of a prepaid bank slip of a non-refundable fee of one hundred thousand Rwanda francs (100,000FRW) or the equivalent in a freely convertible currency deposited to the account N°120.00.61 labeled “NTB Produits et Ventes Diverses” opened at the “Banque Nationale du Rwanda” B.P. 531 Tel: (250)572551.

A compulsory site visit will be conducted by the Representative of AFSR. The time and place for departure are fixed on 11th Mars 2008, at 09:00 a.m. local time (07:00 GMT) at parking yard of the National Tender Board.

Well printed bids written in French or English, properly bound and presented in four copies of which, an original and three copies must reach, in sealed envelopes, the Executive Secretary of the National Tender Board, P.O. Box 4276 Kigali, Avenue de la paix, Tel.: (250) 501403, Fax: (250) 501402 at the latest on 11th April 2008 at 09:00 a.m. local time (07:00 GMT), accompanied by a bid guarantee of ten million Rwanda franc (10.000.000 Rwf) or the equivalent in a freely convertible currency, issued by a reputable bank or a registered insurance company. Late bids will be rejected.

The bids will remain valid for 90 days starting from the deadline for their submission.

The opening of the bids will take place in a public session on the same day at 10:00 a.m. (08:00 GMT) prompt local time at the National Tender Board conference-room.
