N°: 62/F/2008-I/CHUK/RPPA

TITLE OF TENDER: SUPPLY OF MEDICAL EQUIPMENT

FINANCING: BELGIAN TECHNICAL COOPERATION

CONTRACTING AUTHORITY: "CENTRE HOSPITALIER UNIVERSITAIRE DE
KIGALI (CHUK)"

1. The "Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Kigali (CHUK)" has received the support of the Belgian Technical Cooperation (BTC) toward the supply of medical equipment and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments under the Contract for the « Medical Equipment ».

2. The Rwanda Public Procurement Authority, in collaboration with The "Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Kigali (CHUK)", invites International and sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the supply of medical equipment.

3. Participation is open to all persons and companies specialised in the field.

4. The tender documents can be obtained from the Rwanda Public Procurement Authority, P.O
Box: 4276 Kigali, Tel: 501403/04/05, Fax: 501402 from 07/07/2008 upon presentation of a prepaid Bank slip of a non refundable fee of thirty thousand Rwanda francs (30 000 Rwf) or the equivalent in convertible currency paid to the account N°: 120.00.61 labelled NTB "Produits Ventes Diverses" opened at the National Bank of Rwanda, P.O. Box: 531 Kigali, Tel: (250) 574282, Fax: (250) 572551.

5. Interested prospective bidders may obtain further information at the address of the Rwanda Public Procurement Authority not later than 28 days prior to the deadline for the submission of their bids.

6. Well printed bids, prepared in French or in English language, properly bound and presented in four copies, one of which is the original and three copies, must be accompanied by a bid guarantee of six million (6 000 000 Rwf) or the equivalent in any freely convertible currency, issued by a bank or a registered insurance company must reach, in sealed envelopes, the Director of the Rwanda Public Procurement Authority not later than 22/08/2008 at 9h 00’ local time, i.e. 7h 00’ G.M.T.

7. Copies shall be put into an envelope called "inner envelope" bearing the name and the address of the bidder. This envelope shall be put into another one called outer envelope marked as follows:
