TITLE : TENDER TO SUPPLY AND INSTALL IT EQUIPMENT FOR 12 DISTRICTS

1. The Government of Rwanda has received a Grant from the International Development Association towards the funding of eRwanda Project and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this grant to payments under the contract for the “Supply and Installation of IT Equipment in 12 District Offices.” The equipment required will comprise of: 180 computers, 180 UPSs, 12 Network Printers and 12 Digital Cameras.

2. RITA through the eRwanda Project hereby invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the “Supply and Installation of IT Equipment for 12 Disctricts.”

3. Bidding will be conducted through the international competitive bidding procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, May 2004, and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the Guidelines.

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from RITA, Telecom House, eRwanda Project on 5th Floor and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below:

6. The Bidding document in ENGLISH or FRENCH may be purchased by interested bidders on submission of a written application to eRwanda Project; Telecom House, 5th Floor, email: bids@rita.rw, wilson.muyenzi@rita.rw and upon payment of a non refundable fee of 10,000 RWANDA FRANCS (FRW) or equivalent in any freely convertible currency, paid to the account N° 1202919 opened in the National Bank of Rwanda.

7. Bids must be delivered to the address above at or before Friday 31st of October, 2008 at 9:30A.M Local Time. Bids submitted by electronic means shall not be accepted.

Bids shall be accompanied by a bid security equivalent to US Dollars Six Thousand (USD 6000) issued by a reputable bank or registered insurance company and valid for a period of 120 days. Late bids will be rejected.

Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend the opening session from the eRwanda’s meeting room on the same day (31st of October, 2008) at 10:00A.M
