Dear Consultant,

RE: Expression of interest for designing a biodiversity information system

1. Rwanda Environment Management Authority (REMA) has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the project Integrated Management of Critical Ecosystems (IMCE) and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consultant services. The services include REMA Biodiversity Information System (RBIS). This BIS is intended to be used as a baseline for the other geographical information REMA will manage in the future, and as such will be built from scratch as an infrastructure that can host other GIS / BIS applications.

2. REMA now solicits proposals to provide the following consulting services: REMA Biodiversity Information System (RBIS).

3. REMA now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.

4. A Consultant will be selected in accordance World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers (current edition).

5. Interested consultants may obtain further information at the address below during office hours i.e from 7 to 17 hours.

6. Expressions of interest must be delivered to the address below by 23rd July 2010

at 2H 00 PM
